Mental Health problems are very common, with around one in six adults experiencing mental health problems at some stage in their lives. If you have concerns then you should first discuss them with your GP. There are many sources of help and advice for those with mental health problems and their carers. Below is a link to some local and national web sites providing help and support and also support for carers. Everyone has the right to live their life free from violence and abuse, whilst maintaining their independence and well-being. The Safeguarding Adults policy applies to adults, over the age of 18, who need support from Health and Social Care services to maintain their independence. For more information please see the Keeping Safe and Protecting Adults leaflet. Useful Information
