Information Governance

Having the right information, in the right place at the right time is essential to enable clinicians to provide effective health care to service users.

It is equally essential that service users, staff and all other individual’s personal information is held and used securely to ensure confidentiality is maintained.

To help organisations put an effective information governance framework in place, Connecting for Health has developed an Information Governance Toolkit which is updated annually to reflect requirements of new legislation and best practice.

The bulletins below are designed to assist independent contractors in implementing the requirements of the toolkit and completing a return by 31 March 2012.
