Self Care Self care is part of daily living.  It is the care taken by individuals taking responsibility for their own health and well-being and includes the actions people take for their children, their families, friends and others in their neighbourhoods and communities.

For more information on self care please visit our 'Staying Healthy' section.

In emergencies call 999 for an ambulance.  It is important to note, however, that up to a quarter of all 999 calls received DO NOT require an emergency response.  Please help us to help you by using the service responsibly.  Lives could be put at risk if ambulances are used to deal with non-emergency cases.
