Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Services

These pages are intended to inform members of the public and pharmacy contractors about subjects relevant to pharmaceutical services within this PCT.  We would be pleased to receive suggestions for additions or improvements to allow us to provide the information you need.

Advice for the public offers links and information that are most suited to the users of pharmacy services. It includes a link to another website to allow you to identify pharmacies in closest proximity to a specified area, contact details, opening times and further services they offer. In addition to this there is also information on Pharmacy Additional Opening and Bank Holiday Opening.

Information for contractors provides professional information on advanced and enhanced services, repeat dispensing, controlled drugs and our Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment. Further information will be added as appropriate.  Information about the North Yorkshire Local Pharmaceutical Committee (NY LPC) can be found here.

We have also released our first Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment setting out our current services and future commissioning intentions for pharmaceutical services for the people of North Yorkshire and York.

Information on pharmacy opening hours and additional hours are available 24hrs from NHS Direct on freephone 0845 46 47 or via www.nhs.uk.
