Performers Lists

In accordance with the NHS (Performers Lists) Regulations 2004, all GPs, Dentists and Optometrists wanting to provide NHS Primary Care services in England must have their name included on a Primary Care Trust’s Performers List.  Separate provision exists for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.  A GP, Dentist or Optometrist is only permitted to be included on one English Performers List and this is usually the list of the Primary Care Trust in whose area they perform the majority of their services.

The regulations state that a Primary Care Trust must prepare and publish a medical performers list, a dental performers list and an ophthalmic performers list and that these shall be available for public inspection.

The Medical, Dental & Ophthalmic performers List are updated on a monthly basis.
