Press and Media Guidance Notes

Our aim is to respond swiftly to your enquiries about the activities of NHS North Yorkshire and York.

The news section of the website is updated regularly giving you news as it happens and our press releases will give you advanced warning of forthcoming events.

Our communications department is open Monday to Thursday – 8am-5.30pm and Friday 8am-5.00pm – an answerphone operates outside these times.

Patient confidentiality

We place great emphasis on the need for the strictest confidentiality in respect of our patients. We will not divulge any information about a patient unless we are given permission from the individual or their next of kin.

Requests for interviewing/photographing patients must be made through the communications team as should all requests to take photos or film within our premises.
